Special Battery

This is Jimmy with his electric jet.  Ray had brought a "special" battery for him to use. It worked extremely well until ...  Jimmy landed and the plane burst into flame. the results are shown.

Always make sure your airplane is well ventilated if using "special" lipo batteries and keep an extiguisher near by.

Great Time

My family and I were on vacation this past week in New Hampshire. We found a float plane service that was just starting up on lake Winnipesaukee. Dave {the pilot} is an ex-airline pilot with over 12,000 hrs of flight time. He has been flying for over 30 yrs. and in his early years flew RC also. His father had a float plane service on the lake years ago . I spent almost 2 hrs talking with Dave about flying and rc flying. Just a great guy! On our flight around the lake, Dave let me have the controls shortly after takeoff and didn't take them back until just before landing! I thought I was impressing him with my skills until he pointed out the fact I needed to use rudder in the turns...Doh!

Fun Fly Pictures

It probly was the hottest Fun Fly on record, but, that didn't stop those in attendance from taking out many balloons. Seemed like it was a Piper Cub jamboree there for awhile as Kim, Chris and Jason took out the most!
